Center for Geometry and Computational Design
At the TU Vienna, the newly founded "Center for Geometry and Computational Design" (GCD) was opened on Friday, 14 November 2014. It's mission is the development of new geometrical tools for technological needs. The center is directed by Helmut Pottmann, who is also active in project A08 at DGD, so we look forward to a close cooperation between the GCD and DGD.

The Center for Geometry and Computational Design intends to serve as a focal point where geometric theory, initiated by technological needs, is turned into next-generation tools for computational design.
The center includes five research groups affiliated with Vienna University of Technology.
