Electric Fields

However complicated modern electronics may be, the physical fundaments of each electronical or electric machine are electric fields. They are the reason why electrons move in a particular direction and ultimately, why a current flows. It is therefore of fundamental importance in all areas of electrotechnics and electronics, to have an exact understanding of electric fields.

In the visualisation, one can see the most simple of all possible arrangements of charge carriers, with a depiction of the resulting field line. One can change the position and the charge of the individual charge carriers.

Further, there are Visualizations of electric fields on closed surfaces with point charges attached.
