The summer school Multiscale Phenomena in Geometry and Dynamics at the Department of Mathematics of the Technical University Munich is aimed at Master's students, PhD students and postdocs whose interests are related to the topics of multiscale methods for ordinary and/or partial differential equations. It covers a broad spectrum of topics of current interest in the area.
This summer school combines various current research topics in geometry and mathematical physics, the unifying theme being the role of discrete models and of intelligent discretization methods. It is organized by the Berlin Mathematical School and the SFB/TRR 109, Alexander Bobenko and Yuri Suris.
The Summer School is hosted by the Mathematics Department at the TU München and organized by DGD Principal Investigators Ulrich Bauer and Felix Krahmer.
The goal of the Summer School is to bridge developments in machine learning, randomized methods, and topological approaches.
