In May 2024 the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) Transregio 109 will hold an international conference on discrete differential geometry and dimers in Berlin. In recent years, the study of the dimer model of statistical mechanics has unveiled numerous and sometimes surprising connections to various areas of mathematics including discrete differential geometry, a core topic of our CRC. During this five day conference, international guests and members of the CRC will present talks on advances in the theory of the dimer model, discrete differential geometry, and related topics. Furthermore there will be ample opportunity for scientific exchange and stimulating discussions in an informal atmosphere.

From October 10th-13th 2022 the SFB/TRR 109 will hold an International Conference on "Discretization in Geometry and Dynamics" in Magdeburg. During the 3.5 day conference, renowned guests will present talks on a wide spectrum of subjects related to the research themes of our Collaborative Research Centre. Furthermore there will be presentations of the advances made within our own research units and ample opportunity for scientific exchange and stimulating discussions in an informal atmosphere.

The annual DGD Days on “Discretization in Geometry and Dynamics” will be held this year at the Tagungszentrum Landshut in Bavaria. The DGD Days program is organized with talks and presentations on key themes in the mornings and with workshops and research exchange groups in the afternoons, providing ample opportunity for discussion and exchange.
